Contract Information: FedEx will provide Express Mail Services according to its contract with E&I Cooperative. The contract includes rates for domestic and international services including:

  • Priority Overnight - guaranteed delivery by 10:30 AM the next business day**
  • Standard Overnight - guaranteed delivery by 3:00 PM the next business day**
  • Second Day - guaranteed delivery by 4:30 PM the second business day**
  • Express Saver - guaranteed delivery by 4:30 PM the third business day
  • First Overnight - guaranteed delivery by 8:00 AM the next business day
  • Ground Shipping for all points within the 48 contiguous states, as well as program rates for points in Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico
  • International Inbound and Outbound rate programs

**University departments are advised to consider the type of delivery that is required to realize the best cost savings. Is a Standard Overnight or Second Day more cost effective than Priority Overnight or First Overnight? Also consider institutions and/or business that are closed on weekends to further realize cost savings.

Prices for express and ground package delivery services are firm for twelve months (e.g. prices are subject to change effective June 1, 2010); the fuel surcharge is subject to change on a monthly basis.

FedEx has transferred all existing University account numbers to this contract in order to automatically receive the new contract pricing. However:

  • To create a new FedEx account under the E&I contract, complete the on-line application found at: https://www.eandi.org/fedex/application.aspx. It takes approximately four to seven business days to establish a new FedEx account and you will receive a confirmation email from FedEx.
  • To correct account information - (1) Send an email to: govt@fedex.com or (2) Call the Government Hotline (800-645-9424)
  • To establish your account with your P-Card, you must contact the FedEx Billing Hotline (800-622-1147).

NOTE: Please reference the contract number when contacting the vendor. The University's Procurement Card is the preferred method of payment unless a single shipment is $5,000 or greater. Copies of this contract are available from the buyer. necessary supplies free of charge.
