JMU SWaM Vendor Fair

JMU will be hosting a traditional vendor fair on July 30, 2009 for SWAM vendors. This fair is an opportunity for SWAM vendors offering goods and services to meet with many JMU departmental buyers as well as other state and local business organizations. Typically, we have over 300 buyers pass through the fair. Departmental buyers include those from Athletics, Biology, Health Center, Residence Life, numerous administrative offices, and many more. We invite other state and local agencies to visit the vendors at the fair, and have found even local business buyers attend.

While there is a fee for vendors who wish to attend, it is nominal in relationship to the amount of networking and marketing that can be accomplished. Included in the fee are a morning snack, lunch, and afternoon break. Vendors also have the opportunity to take in some professional development sessions like E-mail Marketing, Advanced eVA Training (updating your accounts, running reports), and others. The day is rounded out with four hours devoted to the vendor fair and making connections. Don’t forget the morning events can also be utilized as a way to network with other SWAM vendors – some of them might be potential customers to your business or might be excellent partners on projects your business is attempting to win.

*Please note no refunds will be issued for this event!

This event is for goods and services related vendors. Construction vendors are welcomed but not encouraged to attend this particular event as the audience may not be the most beneficial to their business. Construction vendors are encouraged to stay tuned for the VASCUPP SWAMFest event currently being planned for October 14th in Rn Roanoke, VA.

We are unable to accept registrations from catering / food service related vendors due to our contractual obligations with ARAMARK. If you have a product or service that you feel ARAMARK may be able to utilize we will be happy to put you in touch with them directly.

All funds collected in registration fees goes toward the cost of the event (location, food, tables, door prizes, signage, etc.).
