Purchasing Card Restrictions

University Purchasing Card -- Restricted Purchases

The University Purchasing Card may NOT be used for:

Purchases from, or payments to, any of the following:
- Employees of the Commonwealth of Virginia
- eBay
- Paypal

Purchases on Health Center accounts

Travel expenses except in the following specific cases:
- Air and other mass transit tickets including shuttle service.
- "Motorpool" automobile rentals from Enterprise Virginia Rent-a-Car.
- Gas for automobiles rented from Enterprise Virginia or owned by the University.

Any of the following:

alcoholic beverages
ammunition
automobiles
awards, gifts, prizes, wrapping paper, greeting cards—unless employee recognition
boats
bus charters
carpet
firearms
flowers
framing

furniture (any kind)
limousine service
lodging
prescription drugs
radioactive materials
renovation/construction services
restaurant meals
security systems
tent rentals or purchases (non-camping)
taxi service
vehicles
window treatments
